St. John Bosco had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a run and slipped past the Villa Park Spartans 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Braves sure are getting used to it with their 14th in a row.

Gavin Cervantes tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, St. John Bosco's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Jackson, who went 1-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

St. John Bosco's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Villa Park, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-7.

St. John Bosco has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Corona on the 27th. Villa Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
