Soccer Recap: Rio Americano Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rio Americano can now relate to. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Granite Bay Grizzlies who were credited with the victory on Wednesday. The Granite Bay Grizzlies got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Rio Americano Raiders' one. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Rio Americano's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Granite Bay, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Rio Americano does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granite Bay, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Woodcreek on the 21st.
