With a playoff win on the line, Duchesne rose to the challenge on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Beaver Beavers 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on seven straight.

The team relied heavily on Madi Larsen, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Chezney Farnsworth was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles.

Duchesne's victory bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Beaver, they moved to 22-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Duchesne will face off against South Sevier at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will roll in looking for their 29th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Beaver, they will challenge San Juan at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
