Basketball Recap: Martin Luther's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Martin Luther entered their matchup against Edgerton on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Martin Luther Spartans fell to the Edgerton Crimson Tide 78-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (66), the Spartans still had to take the loss.

Martin Luther's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3. As for Edgerton, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martin Luther will host Mukwonago at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Edgerton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wauwatosa West at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Wauwatosa West knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Edgerton likes a good challenge.
