Basketball Recap: Foran Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Foran extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Faith Doyle. Everything went the Foran Lions' way against the Wilbur Cross Governors on Thursday as the Foran Lions made off with a 69-43 win thanks in part to Doyle, who posted 20 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Norah Bove, who had two points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Foran is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Wilbur Cross, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foran will face off against Amity Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilbur Cross, they and Mercy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
