Volleyball Recap: Parry McCluer Takes a Loss

After flying high against Highland on Thursday, Parry McCluer came back down to earth. The Fighting Blues fell just short of the Bath County Chargers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Parry McCluer sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-15, 17-25, 25-14, 21-25, 16-14.

Parry McCluer's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bath County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Parry McCluer will square off against Craig County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bath County, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Eastern Montgomery on the 15th.
