Basketball Recap: Greene County Takes a Loss

Greene County lost against Perry back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greene County Rams were dealt a 68-27 defeat at the hands of the Perry Bluejays. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gustavo Drahos, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 20 points along with seven assists and six steals. The matchup was Drahos' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Myers, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards.

Greene County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Greene County has already played their next contest (against Prairie City-Monroe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Perry has already played their next matchup, a 70-56 win against Woodward Academy on the 16th.
