Baseball Recap: Natchitoches Central Victorious

Natchitoches Central proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Neville Tigers.

Natchitoches Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Neville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Natchitoches Central will venture away from home to square off against Stanley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Chiefs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Neville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
