Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Lancers vs. Pine Creek Eagles + Official Tickets

Liberty hasn't had much luck against Pine Creek recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lancers will welcome the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Liberty came up short against Doherty and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 19-25, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Pine Creek entered their tilt with Fountain-Fort Carson on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Trojans 3-0.

Pine Creek never let Fountain-Fort Carson on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-23.

Liberty better keep an eye on Alyssa Valdez. She was instrumental in Pine Creek's win, getting 11 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Valdez a new career-high.

Pine Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matchups.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Pine Creek, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
