Volleyball Recap: Columbus' Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Columbus had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the South Paulding Spartans by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Katie Sheer paced Columbus' offense, picking up seven kills. Sheer got some help from Emma Cicora and her 18 assists. Cicora was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Columbus' victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for South Paulding, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Columbus has already played their next matchup, a 0-0 win against Mountain View on the 16th. As for South Paulding, they will square off against Langston Hughes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
