Basketball Recap: Fredonia Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

If Beaver Dam wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fredonia, they should've done a better job of containing Lainie Heaton. The Fredonia Lynx put the hurt on the Beaver Dam Diamondback with a sharp 53-33 win on Friday thanks in part to Heaton, who posted 16 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Neveya Estrada, who put up 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played.

Several Diamondback players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Crissy Medina, who had 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oaklie Ortega, who posted six points.

Fredonia is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.5 points. As for Beaver Dam, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Fredonia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-38 victory against St. Michael on the 11th. As for Beaver Dam, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-17 win against Mountain View Christian on the 13th.
