Softball Recap: Santa Rosa Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Santa Rosa's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 22-12 margin over the Tucumcari Rattlers. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Angelina Silva was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Gianna Campos was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Santa Rosa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .707. They are 6-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Santa Rosa's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8. As for Tucumcari, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Santa Rosa will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rattlers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
