Brighton came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Loveland Red Wolves. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

The team relied heavily on Austin Sickler, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Blake Robinson also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Brighton lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Brighton's record is now 12-4. As for Loveland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Brighton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Boulder on the 21st. As for Loveland, they will square off against Thompson Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
