Softball Recap: Portage Takes a Loss

Portage and Hobart squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Portage had to settle for second. They fell 15-11 to the Brickies. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Brickies recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Erin Fausch and Cora Kingrey did some serious damage despite the final result: Fausch went a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs and one double, while Kingrey went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigale Krenkel, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Portage's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Hobart, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-14.

Portage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hobart, they will face off against Chesterton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
