Baseball Recap: Wasatch Wins Going Away Against Logan

Wasatch won the last time they faced Logan and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wasatch Wasps were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over the Logan Grizzlies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wasps.

Kolden Hafen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Hafen was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Blake Sweat was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Austin Brown was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Wasatch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Logan only posted an OBP of .385.

Wasatch now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Logan, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Wasatch has already played their next game (against Hurricane), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Logan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sky View at 4:30 p.m. on March 17th.
