Baseball Recap: Laurel Takes a Loss

Laurel suffered their biggest defeat since April 30, 2025 on Thursday. They came up short against the Mohawk Area Warriors, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Laurel saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolton Carlson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Jaxson McVicker also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Laurel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mohawk Area, their record is now 4-0-1.

Looking ahead, Laurel will face off against Burgettstown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mohawk Area, they will take on Riverside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
