Basketball Recap: Batesville Comes Up Short

Batesville lost against Marion back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Batesville Pioneers came up short against the Marion Patriots, falling 86-66. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Batesville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Marion, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-9.

Looking ahead, Batesville will head out to face off against Greene County Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greene County Tech will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something Batesville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marion, they will challenge Valley View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
