Basketball Recap: Providence Classical Has No Trouble Against Faith Academy Charter

Providence Classical won against The Fletcher School on Thursday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Paladins enjoyed a cozy 65-46 win over the Faith Academy Charter Patriots. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Paladins.

Providence Classical found their leader in sophomore Grafton Eiff, who dropped a triple-double with 28 points, ten assists, and 11 steals. Eiff is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last 17 games he's played dating back to last season. Malachi Thompson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds.

Providence Classical was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Faith Academy Charter only posted eight.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Academy Charter lost, don't look at Jelani King. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-11 to rack up 16 points along with eight boards and five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Brinkley, who posted 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Providence Classical's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Faith Academy Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Providence Classical will host Lake Pointe Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Academy Charter, they are taking a road trip to challenge Woodlawn at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
