Soccer Game Preview: Wakefield vs. Millbrook

Wakefield is 1-8-1 against Millbrook since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Wolverines will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. Wakefield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

Wakefield is headed into Wednesday's game following a draw, the team's first since March 3. Neither they nor Wake Forest could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Wakefield's goal came courtesy of Sara Barlett, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, Millbrook kept a clean sheet against Rolesville on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Rams. The victory continues a trend for Millbrook in their matchups with Rolesville: they've now won nine in a row.

Millbrook's win bumped their record up to 8-2-4. Wakefield's draw makes their record 6-6-3 this season.

Wakefield couldn't quite get it done against Millbrook in their previous meeting on Thursday as they fell 5-3. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
