Basketball Recap: Sprayberry Takes a Loss

Sprayberry was the 54-52 winner over Sequoyah when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sprayberry Yellow Jackets took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sequoyah Chiefs on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (58), the Yellow Jackets still had to take the loss.

Sprayberry's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Sequoyah, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sprayberry will face off against River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sprayberry has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three contests. As for Sequoyah, they will square off against Riverwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverwood will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sequoyah surely won't give up without a fight.
