Baseball Recap: Shades Valley Comes Up Short

Shades Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to the St. Clair County Fighting Saints. That's two games in a row now that the Mounties have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Shades Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Kyle, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Kyle's first of the season.

Shades Valley's record is now 0-9. As for St. Clair County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

When Shades Valley and St. Clair County next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Shades Valley will face off against Paul W. Bryant and their three-game winning streak at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, St. Clair County will try to stop Westbrook Christian's seven-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
