Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

Holy Cross entered their game against Holy Cross Catholic Academy on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Holy Cross Crusaders were beaten by the Holy Cross Catholic Academy Mustangs 83-40. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 65-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Holy Cross' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2. As for Holy Cross Catholic Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will host Kingdom Prep Academy on Saturday. As for Holy Cross Catholic Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against All Saints Episcopal School at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
