Basketball Recap: Lincoln's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Lincoln fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Grove City on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grove City Greyhounds. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Lincoln moved to 7-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Grove City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Lincoln and Grove City should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Lincoln (ranked 157th) will meet Olentangy Orange (ranked 366th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Grove City will face off against Thomas Worthington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 332 places (35 vs. 367).
