Baseball Recap: Jacksonville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jacksonville had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt New Bern on Friday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 15-9 margin over the Bears. The win was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won three matches in a row.

Vasco Sutton was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
