Basketball Game Preview: Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders vs. Milledgeville Missiles

Ashton-Franklin Center is 0-10 against Milledgeville since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders will challenge the Milledgeville Missiles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ashton-Franklin Center is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Monday. They were dealt an 81-30 defeat at the hands of Eastland. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 694th, while the Cougars are ranked 91st).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Caleb Thomas, who posted nine points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Meanwhile, Milledgeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to Morrison on the road by a 70-51 margin.

Ashton-Franklin Center's defeat dropped their record down to 7-22. As for Milledgeville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-19.

Ashton-Franklin Center came up short against Milledgeville when the teams last played back in January, falling 52-43. Can Ashton-Franklin Center avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
