Baseball Recap: Barnesville Trojans vs. Perham Yellowjackets
Barnesville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They lost 16-6 to the Perham Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Tuesday.
As for Perham, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won 13 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
For Perham's part, the team relied heavily on Drew Ellingson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Ellingson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Blume, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.
