Softball Recap: Pymatuning Valley Has No Trouble Against Grand Valley

Pymatuning Valley won the last time they faced Grand Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Lakers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 23-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lakers.

Peyton Hudson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Hudson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nataleigh Haines, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was McKenna Jordan, who scored three runs while going 4-for-5.

Pymatuning Valley's record now sits at 2-0. As for Grand Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Pymatuning Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Newton Falls at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Grand Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Harding at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
