Boston Latin got themselves on the board against Newton South on Monday, but Newton South never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions, sneaking past 2-0. The Wolfpack were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Lions, so the Wolfpack were just returning the favor.

The win made it two in a row for Boston Latin and bumps their season record up to 4-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Newton South, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Boston Latin will take on rival Westford Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Newton South is set to challenge their familiar foe Lincoln-Sudbury at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
