Basketball Recap: Governor Mifflin's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Wednesday

Governor Mifflin won the last time they faced Hempfield and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Governor Mifflin Mustangs came out on top against the Hempfield Black Knights by a score of 47-37. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Black Knights are ranked 504th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Governor Mifflin has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Hempfield, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

As of now, neither Governor Mifflin nor Hempfield have any future games scheduled.
