Baseball Recap: West Port Wolf Pack vs. Dunnellon Tigers

West Port extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-17. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dunnellon Tigers. The Wolf Pack were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Cole Cordes and Kayden Terpstra stepped up to the plate in a big way. Cordes went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs, while Terpstra got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. West Port is 2-1 when Terpstra posts two or more runs, but 0-16 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmari Dixon, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

As for Dunnellon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-17 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games.

On Dunnellon's side, Jaumil Curvas was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Curvas a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Forest Clifton, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, one triple, and one double.
