Baseball Recap: Juab Wins Going Away Against Cedar

Juab had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Cedar Reds on Friday as the Juab Wasps made off with a 7-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wasps also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Austin Park spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up ten Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Cowan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Hayden Adams also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory got Juab back to even at 3-3. As for Cedar, their record is now 4-4.

Coming up, Juab will take on Cedar Valley in a tournament on Friday. Cedar Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Cedar, they will be taking part in a tournament against Spanish Fork at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
