Central Valley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes 62-8. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cougars had established a 38-point advantage.

Central Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zevan Wolf led the charge by picking up 66 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 66 receiving yards gave Wolf a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Landen Poss, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Central Valley's run defense was locked in: Anselmo-Merna could only muster two yards per carry. The team can thank William Pokorny for the heroic effort on defense: he. Central Valley hasn't allowed more than 4.5 yards per carry every time they've taken the field this season.

Central Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Landon Shoemaker and Caden Straka. Central Valley received some extra help from Talan Wood, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Central Valley's record now sits at 4-0. As for Anselmo-Merna, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
