Volleyball Recap: Jackson County Comes Up Short

Jackson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the South Laurel Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Jackson County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for South Laurel, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-16 record this season.

Jackson County will challenge Oneida Baptist Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Laurel, they will square off against Harlan County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
