Westview entered their tilt with Prairie Heights on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They snuck past the Prairie Heights Panthers with a 40-35 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 29-14 back in November of 2024.

Westview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Karis Weinberg out in front who posted 15 points. Janissa Lehman was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Prairie Heights lost, don't look at Emily McCrea. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. McCrea is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddison Certain, who put up seven points and seven boards.

Westview's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Prairie Heights, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Westview has already played their next contest (against Fairfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Prairie Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-36 victory against Garrett on the 16th.
