Volleyball Recap: Start Comes Up Short

Start was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Northwest Ohio Classical Academy. While Start didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Northwest Ohio Classical Academy 25-21 in the first set.

Start took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Kaden Baker paced Start's offense, picking up 25 kills. Baker got some help from Jaden Brunt and his 28 assists.

Start now has a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Start and Northwest Ohio Classical Academy will both be playing Springfield the next time they take the court. Start will head out to face Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Northwest Ohio Classical Academy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on April 8.
