Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Kenosha Tremper's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

South Milwaukee typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Kenosha Tremper proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Rockets 9-0. Considering the Trojans have won six contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mallory Meier was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Juga, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kenosha Tremper kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Kenosha Tremper is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for South Milwaukee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Kenosha Tremper will venture away from home to square off against Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Sabers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Milwaukee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wauwatosa East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
