Basketball Game Preview: Timnath Cubs vs. Montezuma-Cortez Panthers

The Timnath Cubs will take on the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Timnath's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

It was another big night for Max Roselle, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Mock, who went 5-for-7 en route to 10 points.

Timnath smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berthoud only two offensive boards.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Montezuma-Cortez's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bayfield.

Montezuma-Cortez's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Timnath, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
