Soccer Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover lost against Mission Bay back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hoover Cardinals lost 4-1 to the Mission Bay Buccaneers. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 553rd, while the Buccaneers are ranked 94th).

Hoover has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12-6 record this season. As for Mission Bay, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoover will host University City at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mission Bay, they will face off against Kearny at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
