Volleyball Recap: Pius X's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

After losing to Grand Island the last time they met, Pius X decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Thunderbolts came out on top against the Islanders by a score of 2-0 on Friday. While the Thunderbolts didn't have the best season last year (they finished 16-25), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Millie Andreasen paced Pius X's offense, picking up six kills. Andreasen got some help from Lauren Pearson and her 15 assists. Finally, Ofeleia Ramirez Rousseau kept Pius X's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.
