Baseball Recap: La Plata Takes a Loss

La Plata was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Atlanta Hornets, falling 14-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-5 defeat two weeks ago.

La Plata's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Atlanta, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Looking ahead, La Plata will venture away from home to square off against Canton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Atlanta, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-2 victory against New Franklin on the 25th.
