Recap: Kennedy Eagles vs. El Cerrito Gauchos
The Kennedy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 66-48 to El Cerrito. Kennedy has not had much luck with El Cerrito recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Kennedy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jerry Graham, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jayson Scarbrough, who scored ten points.
Kennedy bumped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for El Cerrito, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will challenge Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richmond comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for El Cerrito, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
