Basketball Recap: Pinconning Takes a Loss

Pinconning was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 70-37 defeat at the hands of the Meridian Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 600th, while the Mustangs are ranked 99th).

Pinconning's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Meridian, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Louis the next time they take the court. Meridian will head out to face St. Louis at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Pinconning will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
