Softball Game Preview: California City Ravens vs. Bishop Union Broncos

The California City Ravens will square off against the Bishop Union Broncos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. California City will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Last Saturday, California City made easy work of Ridgeview and carried off an 11-1 victory. Considering the Ravens have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Bishop Union had taken Desert down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Broncos fell just short of the Scorpions by a score of 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Broncos have lost by just one run.

California City is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Bishop Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Everything went California City's way against Bishop Union in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as California City made off with a 7-1 victory. Do the Ravens have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
