Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Kerens finally turned things around against Oakwood on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Panthers out 3-2.
Kerens wouldn't go down easily and took Oakwood into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-27, 15-13.
Meanwhile, Cayuga lost 3-0 to Wills Point on Tuesday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-6, 25-11.
