Volleyball Recap: Viewmont's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Viewmont came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bonneville Lakers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Viewmont got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 31-29, 25-11, 23-25, 25-17.

Carson Tovey paced Viewmont's offense, picking up 13 kills. Tovey got some help from Jonathan Williquette and his 30 assists. Williquette also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Sam Higginson, racking up two apiece.

Viewmont's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. As for Bonneville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Viewmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Woods Cross on the 22nd. As for Bonneville, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Roy on the 22nd.
