Basketball Game Preview: Oak Grove Tigers vs. Fairfield Tigers

The Oak Grove Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Fairfield Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 18 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Oak Grove and nine for Fairfield.

Oak Grove is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Dora on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Oak Grove took a blow against Dora, falling 55-18. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 450th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 149th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-14, which was the final score in Fairfield's tilt against Huffman on Tuesday. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Oak Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.
