Newbury Park took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Hueneme by a score of 51-44. The score was all tied up 29-29 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Highland lost to North on the road by a 54-37 margin on Thursday.

Newbury Park moved to 8-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Highland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
