Lane Conway Delivers Electric Effort Vs Meridian

Starting off the list is Silver Lake's Lane Conway, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Conway rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

This year, Conway has averaged 38 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to seven.

Hunter Englehart's big game helped extend Red Cloud's winning streak to seven on Friday. Dorchester had no answer to Englehart as he rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries.

Red Cloud's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Englehart and Red Cloud will be playing in front of their home fans against Pawnee City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Red Cloud picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Connor Rust. Nobody could stop Rust as he rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 52 yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 54 yards.

For the year, Rust has thrown those 1 touchdown while averaging 15.1 passing yards per game.

Brexten Kobza's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

Brexten Kobza posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Harvard is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Kobza and Harvard will venture away from home to take on Silver Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
