Baseball Game Preview: St. James Sharks vs. Conway Tigers

For the second straight game, St. James will face off against Conway. The Sharks will host the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Wednesday, it was close, but St. James sidestepped Conway for a 6-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Frank Pepe looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Josh Harnish was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. St. James is undefeated when Harnish posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Rome Derenzo, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

St. James' victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Conway, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.
