Softball Recap: Troy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Troy extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 5-8 in the process. They blew past the Avondale Yellowjackets 26-2. Considering the Colts have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Avondale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Avondale's part, Isabel Beltinck was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Beltinck has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Kate Smith also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Troy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Avondale: the pair will be back at it again later today.
